All travelers whose flights were cancelled should know their rights … particularly, the DOT-mandated flight REFUND for flights that were cancelled. Airlines have been defying the rule by offering “future flight credits” only (FFCs).

That’s absolutely correct. According to the new regulation all airlines must now tell customers that they can get a future flight credit or a cash refund.
